I specialise in the affairs of the elderly and vulnerable clients and have done so for around 20 years.

I deal with all areas of general private client work including Wills and inheritance tax planning, care home fees, Powers of Attorney (Lasting, registration of Enduring, General and Special Powers), Court of Protection and Estate Administration including applications for Probate and submission of inheritance tax returns.

I am a professional Deputy and Attorney and manage finances for people under these authorities. I have been the President of the Rochdale Law Association since 2019 and am Solicitors for the Elderly accredited and an affiliate of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

As a local resident with a young family, I have a keen interest in the community. I provided Age UK Rochdale with a monthly legal clinic for over 8 years, until their closure in 2016, and subsequently agreed to provide a monthly Legal Clinic for Carers via The Carers Hub Rochdale – who I also assist with events and Carers Week campaigns.

In support of my client’s health and social needs, I have extensive experience in liaising with a wide range of organisations, such as Social Services, Community Mental Health teams, Home Care agencies, Independent Mental Capacity Advocates, and Community Social Support services. In addition, I have provided presentations to many local groups, including pensioners associations and local charity groups.
